JCSA's travel soccer program encourages and challenges our youth players who are seeking a higher level of competition, while continuing to grow their love of the game. In the last decade, we continue to grow, not only in the size of our program, allowing more children to play and participate, but also in competitive level, providing local soccer teams that compete at the highest levels.
Our goal for the program is to continue to raise that bar, but also to focus on the important skills that travel soccer uniquely provides—commitment, confidence, resilience, and teamwork. While some of our players go on to play at the college level, our primary goal is to meet each player where they are at, push them to challenge themselves, and foster a life long love of soccer and team sports.
To bring this philosophy to life, here’s what a typical season looks like for our teams:
- Our teams train two or three times per week, with professional, paid trainers from the SEFT (School of Elite Football Training).
- We play in the Fall and Spring seasons in the EDP and/or Northern Counties Youth Soccer League (NCSA).
- Our home matches are played at our turf soccer field at the Caven Point Sports Complex in Jersey City
- Away matches are played through NJ. We include tournament play, Cup competitions and winter training though it can vary from team to team.
2025 wrapup
As we wrap up our fall season we want to reach out and share some exciting insights. As the numbers show, it’s been a great and successful season!
- With over 400 practices
- Approximately 200 games
- More tourneys this fall than ever before for JCSA Travel
- A winning league record with 75 wins 56 losses and 38 ties
- And more pizza and ice cream than we could keep track of.
Each of our teams is continuing to grow and progress, and most are now competing in increasingly higher flights, or soon will be in the spring. Whether playing NCSA, EDP, or at a variety of tournaments, our club definitely is on the rise - and we are getting noticed.
Behind the scenes and beyond the numbers, you have carpooled to a hundred events, sat in parked cars or stood outside fences in the dark evening hours, and spoken to other parents (and committed relatives) about offside calls. The kids have spent so many hours together, learning from their coaches and from each other. For JCSA, some of the biggest wins are not about the score, but are when they celebrate together, or cry together over a loss. These kids are growing up together both as a team and as a community.
From our director of coaching:
“I want to first thank everyone for all their efforts and support this season. Parents and Volunteers are what also makes this club so great to work for. As the director of the club I love to see how far we’ve come in just a few years, from more commitment to improving and winning/competing against tough opponents in every division. I hope this break fuels us up for more exciting moments next year.
From all the SEFT Coaching Staff we want to wish you all Happy Holidays!” - Sebastian Rojas

U15/2011-2012 Green 2012 Boys had a rollercoaster of a season, struggling to win games, but ended the season with a 3-2 come back win against a tough opponent. All players worked on their own personal progression and the results are starting to come together as a team. Looking forward to kicking off spring season strong!U15/2011-2012 Green

U13/2013 GreenU13/2013 Green
2013 Green had an outstanding fall season, finishing 4th in the EDP highest flight, competing against top academy programs. The team also won at both the Parsippany and ISE International tournaments, highlighting the program's growth. Special thanks to Coach David for his leadership and dedication! While we’ll miss him, we’re excited for his new role as head coach of NYCFC’s U11 program. His impact on the team will be lasting. -
U13/2013 White 2013 White moved up a flight this season to challenge the team, and we were so proud to go 7-1-2, taking on and beating our local rivals, and moving through to the next round of the cup. Beyond all the wins, the moment that will stand out is our one goal loss at the death to miss winning the flight by a single point. Postgame the kids were despondent and Coach Juan gave them an incredibly emotional life lesson about how you learn from losing. They walked off the field hand in hand, heads held high as a team to great parents, supported in the lesson that the next best thing to winning the flight is losing with the team of your close friends.U13/2013 White

U12/2014 Green 2014 Green had a transition year with a new coach and new pitch. Coach Martin created such a good competitive environment and improved each player each week and had some help from 2015 Green. Played 2 full games a man down in the Cup and only lost on a last second penalty. Already some of our former players are excited to rejoin us. These kids learned a lot and will enjoy a small break before coming back stronger.U12/2014 Green

U12/2014 White 2014 White, with only 4 returning players this fall, the 2014 co-ed team welcomed 8 new players and focused on team building, skills and fundamentals. The team quickly found their footing with players bonding and supporting each other on and off the field. The girls showed incredible growth from being at the bottom of the league last fall to playing for the championship this fall! It was an amazing season that ended with the best two teams playing each other in the final week. Grateful to have such a supportive group of girls and parents.U13/2013-14 Girls

U10/2016 White 2016 White, one of our youngest teams with many players in their first travel season, made us incredibly proud by finishing 3rd in the C flight. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the support of JCSA families beyond our roster, and we’re deeply grateful for their contributions. A standout moment for all of us was the unforgettable 6-6 draw against undefeated Fairview on a stormy night of wind and heavy rain. Trailing by two goals with just six minutes to go, our players showed incredible grit, crafting two brilliant moments of passing and composure to earn a well-deserved point. As both a parent and coach, this moment was truly special. We can’t wait to see what this resilient team achieves in the spring.U10/2016 White

U10/2016 Green 2016 Green had such a fun season! From our first practice to finishing as runners-up in our first EDP league (6-1-2 record) The boys had a strong start and show great potential. Our first loss ever was tough, but it’s also a good lesson for the team and this will make the comeback in the spring even more exciting. The kids will miss Coach David; they are all so grateful for everything he has done and he will always be part of this team’s story!U10/2016 Green
