After having claimed the championship title two years in a row, the JC Strikers 2007 Boys team aimed to achieve a three peat at this year’s NCSA Cup Finals.

Taking place on a nice, hot, sunny afternoon on June 4th, 2022, at Ramapo College, they would play for that chance as they faced off Fairview SA for the title. When the day arrived, the team felt the pressure during their game as the first half ended in a 0-0 score. Their confidence never wavered though, as they maintained possession of the ball and played together as a team. Their breakthrough came at the 48th minute of the game, when player, Tomas Monteiro (#20) scored a beautiful header from player, Yassine Jaballah’s (#21) corner kick. The second goal came at the 69th minute mark when player, Miles Agle (#8) crossed the ball into the Goalies area and player, Tomas Monteiro (#20) completed the play with his second goal of the game. Fairview played a competitive game till the end though and scored their first goal at the 75th minute. The game went on to finish with a final score of 2-1 and the JC Strikers team coming out victorious.

As Team Captain, Arjun Krishnakumar (#5) received their third Championship cup, the team cheered with excitement. Congratulations to this outstanding group of players and Coaches; Matias De Paz, Filomeno Monteiro, Adnane Jaballah. Good luck in the rest of your endeavors.
